BBI is powered by volunteers. Passionate people offering their time, skills and experience has resulted in a positive impact on people’s lives and we have made changes to the maternity care system in Australia.

We have a variety of volunteer roles available, and you can choose one that suits your skills, passion, experience and how much time you can contribute.

Why volunteer with us

We’re a supportive and nurturing group of parents that care about birth, learn and inject fun into this work too. We support each other, take on exciting opportunities and trust our volunteers with new ideas and ways of doing things.

Volunteering with us is a way to give back to mums, birthing parents, babies and families, It’s a way to apply your skills or meet others with similar interests.

We often have parents volunteer whilst they are on Parental Leave and want to keep connected to others, contribute to improving experiences for other birthing parents and offer back their skills most often with a baby in their arms.

We offer skill building, training, mentoring, interesting opportunities and more. We value our volunteers deeply.
